Confermax Audit Essentials: Subscription & Credit Framework
Unlike transaction-based confirmation services, Confermax Audit Essentials operates on a predictable Monthly Subscription Tier and Credit Allocation System combined with dedicated Auditor Team Seat Quotas. This model is engineered to provide audit practices of every size with scalable computational capacity, standardized working paper automation, and regulatory client screening without variable surprises.
1. How the Credit System Operates
Credits represent unified computational units utilized within Confermax Audit Essentials. To keep usage transparent and straightforward, credits are consumed only when engagement teams access features within two specific functional categories:
- AI-Related Functions: Credits are required when utilizing artificial intelligence capabilities across the platform, including Confermax AI, AI-assisted mapping for General Ledgers (GL) and Workpapers, automated analytical review procedures, among others.
- Due Diligence Functions: Credits are required when performing compliance and regulatory checks in the Due Diligence Module, including statutory KYB (Know Your Business) company registry searches and filings retrieval, as well as KYC (Know Your Customer) individual identity verification.
No Other Functions Require Credits: All other core workbench tools, including PBC (Provided by Client) request tracking, client document exchanges, standard working paper review notes, and engagement file archiving, do not require credits to operate.
2. Subscription Plans & Team Seat Quotas
Firms subscribe to a monthly plan based on their team size and engagement volume. Each subscription tier includes a designated quota of auditor team seats and an upfront monthly credit allocation:

3. Self-Service Credit Top-Up Packages
If your engagement teams exhaust their monthly plan credits prior to the end of a billing cycle, or when undertaking high-volume audits during busy season, practice administrators can instantly purchase top-up credit packs directly from the firm wallet:
Credit Allocation: 500 Credits (effective rate: $0.100 / credit).
One-time credit top-up pack for engagement teams requiring immediate additional capacity. Purchased top-up credits are provisioned instantly to the firm workspace balance and do not expire while the subscription remains active.

4. Credit Policies & Subscription Terms
4.1 Credit Replenishment & Expiration
Monthly plan credits are credited to the firm’s workspace at the start of each recurring monthly subscription billing cycle. Unused monthly allocation credits expire at the end of each billing month and do not roll over to subsequent months unless explicitly stated under an enterprise agreement. Conversely, purchased Top-Up Credit Packages do not expire as long as the firm maintains an active subscription in good standing.
4.2 Exhaustion of Monthly Credits (Zero-Downtime Assurance)
If a firm runs out of credits mid-cycle, existing client files, uploaded Trial Balances, historical workpapers, and generated financial statements remain 100% accessible and editable. However, features that require credit, such as AI analysis and automated workpaper drafting, corporate KYB screening, and individual KYC verification, may be temporarily paused until a top-up credit package is acquired or the monthly subscription renews.
4.3 Plan Tier Upgrades & Immediate Activation
Administrators can upgrade their subscription tier at any time through the platform console. Upon upgrading, the new auditor seat quota and higher monthly credit balance are provisioned immediately, with charges prorated for the remaining days of the current billing month.
4.4 Multiple Tier Subscriptions & Seat Expansion
Firms with extensive engagement teams exceeding 50 practitioners can subscribe to multiple tier packages or request custom multi-office enterprise arrangements. This modular structure allows firms to scale their auditor seat allocations and pooled credit reserves to cater to any firm size, from boutique partnerships to regional multi-office practices.
4.5 Fair Usage & Third-Party Registry Fees
Confermax reserves the right to adjust credit consumption weights if third-party government registries or regulatory databases alter their external lookup tariffs or statutory search levies. Furthermore, KYB (Know Your Business) and KYC (Know Your Customer) features are chargeable services. Because Confermax collaborates with third-party registry and verification providers, pricing and required credit deductions may vary depending on jurisdiction and search complexity. Any statutory adjustments will be clearly communicated with advance notice.
5. International Billing & Local Currency Settlement
Confermax may offer the option to settle confirmation, subscription, and credit top-up invoices in local currencies (such as HKD, RMB, GBP, EUR, or SGD); however, fees and exchange conversion rates may vary if this option is selected. For regional or local currency billing arrangements, please submit a formal pricing inquiry form to our customer service desk.
6. Tax Policy & Withholding
Confermax reserves the right to collect sales tax, use tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and/or Value-Added Tax (VAT) where required by applicable law in relevant jurisdictions. The Customer remains responsible for paying all applicable taxes and statutory levies related to their use of the platform services.
Upon request, the Customer must provide Confermax with written evidence of any withholding taxes paid to statutory authorities. If the Customer is required by local tax authorities to withhold or deduct any portion of charges, the Customer shall gross up the payable amounts so that the net receipt to Confermax, after all deductions, equals the original invoice amount.

Confermax Confirms: Confirmation Fee Schedule
All confirmation fees listed below are denominated in U.S. Dollars (USD) with approximate reference values in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) and are subject to change. The current rates are effective as of January 1, 2024 (Last Updated: 2026).
1. On-Platform Responder Confirmations
On-Platform confirmations are submitted digitally through contracted participating financial institutions, banks, law firms, and corporate responders via Confermax's secure network:
A consolidated form is a full entity search of bank records. They request searches for all related accounts and products based on client information provided by the auditor. These are common forms used across Asia, the Middle East, the UK, Europe, South America, and Canada.
Volume Threshold: The fee is USD $30 for each of the first ten (10) requests at the same entity for the same balance request date per client. Additional requests beyond the first ten will be free of charge.
An individual form confirms the detailed balance and parameters of a single account. For each entity receiving individual account confirmations, the fee is USD $5 per account.
Volume Threshold: Applies to the first twenty (20) accounts confirmed for the same balance request date per client. Additional accounts beyond the first twenty will not be charged.
The fee is USD $2.00 for every successful transaction. For accounts receivable and accounts payable confirmations transmitted to contracted corporate responders. A single AR and AP invoice confirmation may encompass multiple invoice line-items for the same client and responder.
For formal legal inquiry confirmations sent to contracted law firms and legal representatives, verifying outstanding claims, litigation proceedings, and unasserted potential claims per request.
For formal Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metric validation, carbon accounting data, and sustainability audit inquiries submitted to contracted corporate responders and reporting entities.
For authoritative cryptographic verification, wallet ownership validation, and reserve attestation of digital assets and cryptocurrency holdings held with contracted custodians, exchanges, and financial institutions.
KYB & KYC Regulatory Verification Features
Please note that KYB (Know Your Business) and KYC (Know Your Customer) verification features are chargeable services. Because Confermax works with third-party providers (including official government company registries, statutory corporate filings repositories, international AML/sanctions watchlists, and biometric identity verification partners), pass-through lookup pricing and search fees may vary based on jurisdiction, registry tariffs, and screening depth.
2. Off-Platform Confirmation Fees
For confirmations directed to non-contracted financial institutions or external responders:
- Electronic Transmission: The fee for each non-contracted electronic confirmation request is USD $1.00 (approximately HKD 7.8) per request.
- Paper (Self-Print PDF): Generating and self-printing non-contracted paper confirmations is completely free.
- Paper (Print & Mail Fulfilment): Confermax does not provide manual physical print-and-mail fulfilment services at the present time.
3. Guaranteed Response Policy
Our Response Guarantee
We guarantee a response to every electronic confirmation request submitted to contracted, on-platform responders. If a contracted responder fails to deliver an authoritative confirmation response within agreed service windows, Confermax will credit the request fee back to your firm account. This guarantee does not extend or apply to Off-Platform Responder confirmations or self-printed paper confirmations.
4. International Billing & Local Currency Settlement
Confermax may offer the option to settle confirmation invoices in local currencies (such as HKD, RMB, GBP, EUR, or SGD); however, fees and exchange conversion rates may vary if this option is selected. For regional or local currency billing arrangements, please submit a formal pricing inquiry form to our customer service desk.
5. Tax Policy & Withholding
